      the smaller version only uses on colour, and yo only need to decide later as to which size you want to make. So why not start and then decide later?

  20. Hi Carle, I have been knitting away at my shawlette, and am enjoying the patten. I was intending to give it to an 8 yr old for her birthday, do you think the big size (I like the idea of the contrasting yarn) would be too big for a child? Thanks.

      I think the small would be better, but of course you could knit the small but use a contrasting thread. What colours are you using? I sure you like to see a picture.
